Being true that I have actually never "blogged" before, I wanted to wrap up as much information about my topic (immigration) before I started blogging about it. Therefore, it has been awhile since I've been on. From here on out, I plan to blog daily, hopefully. I plan on the first 10-15 blogs to pertain solely to interesting polls on immigration done. The first interesting poll can be found at http://www.fairus.org/site/PageServer?pagename=research_researchd74c?&printer_friendly=1 I mainly find it interesting because it is somewhat of a conglomeration of a few different polls that all focus on the topic of immigration. One large point that I want to stress is the somewhat underlying agenda that can be seen. "68% feel that the number of immigrants who cross the border, whether legal or illegal is "too high"", "62% oppose making it easier for illegal immigrants to become citizens of America". When asked the question "Which is more important: securing the border or legalizing undocumented workers?". 65% felt that securing the border was more important while a miniscule 26% felt that legalization is more important. I find it a touch worrisome that such a large amount of people are against the idea of immigration altogether. I feel that many forget that, without immigration, most of us wouldn't be American citizens.
